Getting from Hue to Hoi An by train
Hoi An does not have a train station. Da Nang station is the closest station to Hoi An. When you arrive at Da Nang station, you will have to take a taxi, a bus or a private car.

Getting from Da Nang station to Hoi An
For the trip from Da Nang to Hoi An, you will have several means of transportation:
1. Taxi
The most recognized brands in Vietnam are Mai Linh Taxi, Vinasun Taxi and Tien Sa Taxi (local brand), which are green, white and yellow respectively. Check that the meter is working before leaving the train station. A taxi ride from Da Nang station to Hoi An town costs about 300,000 Vnd – 450,000 vnd and it takes about 45 minute.
2. Bus
Another option to get to Hoi An from Da Nang station is to take a bus.
The bus ( bus number 1 ) from Da Nang to Hoi An is not located next to the train station, so if you want to take the local bus, take a cab from the train station to the city bus station, which is about 10 minutes away by car.
The bus fare is 20,000 Vnd and the trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The bus station is located a few meters from the center of Hoi An so take a taxi to reach your hotel or walk if your hotel is in the city center.
3. Private Car
By private car, the price for the trip from Da Nang station to Hoi An is 270,000 vnd for a 4-seater car with driver, 320,000 vnd for a 7-seater car and 400,000 vnd for a 16-seater car. The driver will drop you off directly at your hotel.
